On Monday night ,i went to Chung Hwa School in KB at their hall to watch an artist who came all the way from Taiwan to tell us about his life stories, Xie Kun Shan story.
My dad got 3 free ticket to go there, one of his friends give it to him, so he decided to bring me and my sis. He knows i like drawing that's why i guess he choose me and he told me that the man actually don't have any hands and legs due to some accident, so i learned later on, my sis, well, i guess coz my mum wasn't all that excited about this at all, so my sis was kinda forced to go. She was like, "What? Why are you going?" and i was like "Hello, u know i like drawing, whats wrong with going?" After about a few minutes of telling her i actually wanted very much to go, we got dressed.
When we were finally there, we quickly got seated and i saw the guy sitting on the first row and people were talking to him, its true, he don't have both arms, but he got legs, and my sis was like, "What the ****! Dad said he don't have arms and legs, he's very exaggerating!" The guy was sitting there with both legs, hahaha, i guess my dad just wanted my sis to go, so he say something to spice it up.
Anyway, he went on stage and told us about him and his life, how he was a normal kid back then just like all of us, just that when he was younger, his family was average, not really very rich or poor, just enough to feed them, so he will help out his family everytime after he come back from school, well, one day while he was working, he accidentally got electrocuted, and he lost both his arms and legs, later he got another accident and lost an eye (one eye went blind), but he never gave up, his mother was there encouraging him and he doesn't want to burden the family, so he start taking art, holding brush using his mouth, writing using his mouth, and eventually he become very talented in drawing. He is mostly into scenery. He even showed us a drawing of a pair of fish, and he sign the drawing, it was really nice.

After that, he talks some more about himself, and how little kids, would approched him with curiosity in their eyes, asking him lots of questions, like, how do you relief yourself when u need to, how do you eat, how do you drive, it's actually all command questions when you really wonder how they do all that.....he don't seems to mind all the question at all, he would answer them patiently, explaining how he do it. He won't get furious or annoyed, instead he would even add in some jokes.
He have a beautiful wife and two lovely daughters. He is one man i know who live for a purpose and i can see that life to him is full of meanings. It was really touching. When he finish his stories, everyone was clapping and really look up to him, even a family from Malaysia, come all the way just to have his signature on the book he wrote about.
