My due date to deliver was actually on the 13th April as estimated by the doctor and also the ultrasound, but surprisingly, baby Jazelle came early on the 6th March, Tuesday, which is a month and a few days early weighing at only 1.95kg. This was really surprising as i was not expecting and wasn't really ready. I start to feel like menstrual cramp on Saturday and my discharge was unusual as there was tint of blood with my discharge. It was in the morning and i was at my mum's place. I start to panic when i saw the blood as this never happens before.
I rush back to my in-laws as James did not go to my mum's place with me the night before. I told him about the blood and he immediately said he would bring me to the clinic to check.
We reach the clinic and since it was a saturday, it was only open in the morning for a certain time (i don't remember), luckily i made it before it closes, but unfortunately, there was only one doctor available that day. When i told the doctor of my worries, he gave me some advice on the common of this problem, and only if there is a lot of blood then i have to go hospital.
He ask me to lay down so he can feel the womb, and after a while, he told me this: " Don't worry, there is no sign of delivery yet. Your baby is still floating inside and is not yet attached to the bla bla bla." I was relieve to hear this coz' i was getting worried.
So i went home and in the afternoon the menstrual cramp starts to happen, and at first it wasn't so bad, but then at night, the pain was becoming really bad. It was like 10 minutes apart, but i didn't know why. I thought it was just the way it is and since the doctor said there is no sign of delivery, i ignore the cramp. Then on Sunday, the pain was still there, and i was really scared coz i'm not sure if this is suppose to happen at 35 weeks. Then i called up one of my fren who just deliver 3 months ago to ask for advise.
After explaning, she told me she is scared for me, coz she never had this problem at 35 weeks. Ok, now im getting scared. I told James that i wanted to go to the clinic again on Monday just to make sure, because i was starting to panic.
We went to the clinic again on Monday and this time, i ask for another doctor who is specialist in this department. And i explain everything to him again and he told me that i shouldn't be too worried and he even listen to the baby's heartbeat and said he will gave me an ultrasound if im too worried. Unfortunately, the nurse at the time for the ultrasound was on leave, and the other nurse on call was not very good with 35weeks ultrasound.
James and i went back to the doctor and he told me to come again tomorrow afternoon, which is Tuesday to have the ultrasound when the nurse was back from her leave. I told him that i might need to report just in case i need to go to the hospital and they wanna have my report. He agreed and wrote a note to the nurses to photocopy my report and pass it to me. The nurse however did not gave me a copy of my report saying that: "Since you are coming back tomorrow afternoon, i will give the copy to you then."
I went back home that day, the pain more and more intense and i wasn't able to sleep at night at all. On Tuesday morning, i ask JAmes to drive me to the office as i need to finish some thing, and i told him i am not able to drive as the pain was really unbearable. I went to the office at 6am plus and back at about 8am. At home, i keep having the feeling to urinate and pass motion, but when i tried, nothing came out, untill at about 11am, i feel like something is not right, i went to the toilet to pass motion but the feeling was like something big was coming out. ANd the pain was so intense i have difficulty standing up. I ask JAmes to sent me to the hospital right away, not the clinic.
I reach the hospital and straight away went to labour at 11.30am and baby JAzelle came at about 12.30pm. This was so surprising, as i only expected to go to the hospital and wanted to know why i was in pain, but i didnt have the time, coz i was pushed in the wheel chair straight to the labour room and the nurses and doctor was already asking me to strip and checking my vagina and said i'm about to deliver. Ok, i was really panicking, like, wait a minute "WHAT?"
Anyway, everything was in panic, even the nurses and doctor as they do not have my report and they do not know my condition or anything about me or the baby, they actually hesitate to deliver baby Jazelle at the time, but one of the doctor said, that this is emergency, and they need to deliver her right away regardless report or no report.
Now, baby Jazelle is already a month and 6 days old. She is suppose to still be at my belly, the due date is tomorrow. But i guess she just wanted to came out and play as soon as she can!! :)
