I have recently watched Black Swan by Natalie Portman. In the movie, Nina (Natalie Portman) was a ballerina, she was a perfectionist, she wanted to perfected her move and she work very hard. There are other ballerinas, and they work for this ballet company. When there was a performance , Swan Lake, coming up, every girl wanted to be the lead ballerina for it. And they compete for it. The role of the lead is the White Swan and the Black swan, and she will have to dance in 2 role. Nina was the perfect White Swan, while another new girl, Lily, was the perfect BLack Swan.
Throughout their training, Nina, starts to have hallucination. She was over working herself. She finally got the lead role for the Swan Lake. But she need to perfected her Black Swan role. She claims that Lily is trying to take away her role. Her hallucination was getting worse everyday. On the day of the performance, she saw Lily in her dressing room, and when they fight, Nina, took one of the shattered mirror and stab Lily.
Nina carry on the performance after she hides Lily's body. And when she change for the second role in her dressing room, Lily knock on her door, and congratulate her on her performance, and she realize that Lily was not dead, and she discover the body she hides before was gone incuding the pool of blood. And realize she have actually stabbed herself. SHe carry on her last performance and at the finishing, everyone applaud and her blood wound spread while she smile over her perfect performance.
This movie for me was a dark movie, something like Dorian Gray i watch a while back. It's dark, sensual, mystery, thriller. For those of you who like this kinda movie, you can watched Dorian Gray. That movie actually gives me night mare.
